Why your donation matters
Pat and the Elephant was founded in 1975 by Patricia Rogers P.C., C.D., after she recognized that people with mobility challenges in PEI had no dignified way to get around. For over 50 years, we have been filling that gap.
We serve clients who use wheelchairs, walkers, stretchers, and other mobility aids — taking them to medical appointments, grocery stores, social events, and everywhere in between. Our rates are kept as low as possible thanks entirely to the generosity of donors and sponsors like you.
As a registered not-for-profit, every dollar donated goes directly toward maintaining our fleet, training our drivers, and keeping fares affordable for the people who rely on us most.
Official Tax Receipts
Pat and the Elephant is a registered Canadian charity. All eligible donations receive an official tax receipt. Online donations via CanadaHelps receive an immediate email receipt.
